Are there any YouTube videos on how to apply these decals?

 

Yes!  Just go to the tab on this website named "Application Videos" and you will find YouTube videos with step by step instructions.

What kind of topcoat should I use?

 

We highly recommend that you use a gel topcoat that uses an LED or UV lamp.  However, if you do not own one, you can use a "gel-like" topcoat that doesn't require a lamp.  Just be sure to use a large bead of the topcoat and glide it across the decal - do NOT let the brush drag on the decal as it will smear the inks.  You can also buy a high-gloss water-based varnish to lightly brush on the decal, let it dry, then you can use any topcoat you like.  Mod Podge makes a high lustre water-based varnish which you can find at any hobby/craft store.

My decal ripped when I tried to stretch it!

 

This could be the result of several things:

 

1.  You didn't use hot enough water to slide the decal off the backing.  You need it almost hot.

 

2.  You were too fast in trying to stretch it - you must pull very slowly while the decal is still warm.

 

3.  You waited too long to try to stretch it - the decal was cold by the time you tried it.

 

4.  The good news is, you can even put the ripped parts together on your nail and patch them together - when you topcoat it, the rip seems to disappear if you lined it up correctly.

The decals are way too big for my nails

 

You are lucky!  Most of us have to stretch these to fit our nails! You can even cut these decals into 2 pieces if your nails are small enough and get even more use out of them.

Are all the decals water decals?

 

All the decals are water decals EXCEPT the "T" series, which are THERMAL.  Please watch the instructional video on how to apply the "T" series.  You will need either a hair dryer or a nail dryer (on the warm setting) to slightly warm them up after you have taken them off the backing.  They are slightly sticky unlike the water decals.

What are those funny oval shapes on the "T" series?

 

Those are little decals to use on the "moon" or lunula of the nail.  Polish your nail in a harmonious color to the decal and place those little ovals on the moon of your nail for yet another look!

Are these all the designs?

 

No!  We have over 500 designs and more are produced often!  As we get more in stock, we will be adding to our current line of products.  Check back often to see new designs!
